Undo and redo
Nothing on the canvas is permanent.
Ctrl+ZUndo
Ctrl+Shift+ZRedo
Ctrl+YRedo (Windows convention)
History covers every change to the design: blocks added, moved, deleted or duplicated, connections made and broken, parameters edited, groups formed. A drag is one step, so a single Ctrl+Z puts the block back where it started. Two hundred steps are kept.
Opening a file, loading a template or starting a blank page begins a new history. Undo will not reach back into the document you left.
